The Library

Institute has two main Libraries are located on the ground floor in Building A (A-003 & A-004) and two supplementary libraries in Building B (B-503 & B-600) as shown below in the table. The libraries contain at least one copy of every textbook used in CEE courses, plus an excellent collection of classical and standard texts in various areas of engineering technology. The mechanism for requesting books and subscriptions that the library provides uses web-based forms; books can be ordered for use by classes or to be added to the general collection; direct orders for materials can be placed with a dedicated engineering reference librarian who works with the head of collection development to address the needs of the faculty and students. The library's system for locating and obtaining electronic information meets or exceeds the requirements of the Department. The engineering librarian has worked with instructors to integrate instruction about Communication and Electronics engineering research methodology into Introduction to Communication and Electronics Engineering courses, graduate workshops and seminars, and senior level courses.

The library is equipped with: photocopiers, printers and computers with access to the internet to facilitate searching the library database. The library subscribes to electronic databases (e.g. EKB, Bibliotheca Alexandria) and other websites of a number of publishers and e-journals (e.g. ELSEVIER). Faculty members have access to these sites, where they may download research papers and other materials.
