Approximately 98.8% of students at the Nile Higher Institute for Engineering and Technology start and end their
collegiate careers. The Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education has the full articulation of basic math, science,
English, and humanities courses across the country's college system. Thus, students transferring from other institutes
in Egypt are deemed to have had the same core curriculum in these courses as students who started at the Nile Higher
Institute for Engineering and Technology. Students transferring in must have around a 2.3 cumulative GPA to be admitted
into the Nile Higher Institute of Engineering. Transcripts are reviewed by the Nile Higher Institute for Engineering
and Technology Transfer Services. Transfer course credit under consideration as equivalencies to the Nile Higher
Institute for Engineering and Technology Specific courses are approved through the Dean of the Nile Higher Institute
for Engineering and Technology. Department Chairs, and/or faculty members may be consulted on transfer equivalencies
regarding major-specific courses. Students requesting transfer credit may be required to provide evidence such as
catalogs and course materials to ensure course content and objectives are substantially similar to those at the
Nile Higher Institute for Engineering and Technology. After approval, the student will meet with their assigned
academic advisor to discuss transfer equivalents and a plan for academic success. In all cases, transfer credits
are accepted only from colleges/institutes and universities that are at least regionally accredited.
Transfer courses are accepted only on a pass/fail basis with grades of A, B, or C being counted as "Pass". Where
appropriate, differences between semester and quarter curricula are accommodated to ensure the proper number of
credit hours is awarded. Accepted transfer credits are not included in the student's grade point average calculations.
