The Nile Higher Institute for Engineering & Technology accepts students who have obtained the certificate of General Secondary
Education (GSE) submitted through the Coordination Office, and applicants transferring from other educational institutions,
after getting the approval of the Ministry of Higher Education, students holding equivalent certificates from Arab and foreign
countries, holders of the American High School diploma, IGCSE certificate, and students obtained the certificate of Al-Azhar
Secondary Education.
The Institute accepts also non Egyptian students according to the general rules and system of the state
determined by the Ministery of Higher Education.
The Institute awards a Bachelo's degree in Engineering and Technology in the following disciplines:
Civil Engineering Program.
Architectural Engineering Program.
Communication & Electronics Program.
After bringing the previous documents, the student or his guardian must go to the Student Affairs Department at the
institute and hand over to the preparatory team employee the required documents.
The employee in charge edits a payment portfolio for the tuition fees, and the student pays it in the treasury of
the institute and obtains a receipt for payment of the tuition fees approved by the institute.
The student or his guardian fills out the enrollment application form, which contains the student's data.
At that time, the student gets the university card for the academic year in the year of enrollment.
For international [foreign/ non-Egyptian] students, admission application is submitted through electronic coordination

The student should obtain a high school certificate or an equivalent of the Egyptian secondary stage
certificate with general grade (60%) at least.
The institute accepts all nationalities from all Arab, Islamic and African, Arabic-speaking countries.
Student with the technical secondary certificate or technical diplomas should choose the specializations
that accept technical diplomas.
A Student with an Egyptian general secondary education (scientific section/ math) should choose faculties
that mention math (if any).
After the appearance of the initial results, the nomination is not considered final and it is not implemented
until the student submits the originals of his documents to the embassy of his country in Cairo to complete
the admission procedures with the Central Department of Foreign Students Affairs in the Ministry of Higher
Education or to apply to the Central Department of Foreign Students Affairs in the Ministry of Higher Education
(this will be determined by the student's review of his country's embassy in Cairo).
The required papers and documents include:
The original official secondary certificate (*).
An original valid passport.
The original birth certificate .
6 recent personal photos.
Students who are born to an Egyptian mother should provide a proof of that/ the embassy letter of whoever
applies through the embassy.
A receipt indicating the payment of the application fees.
Fees for submitting the certificates for those with old certificates (embassies will be informed of this in detail),
and then the Ministry will then issue the final approval for admission.
Nile Higher Institute for Engineering & Technology is keen to take care of the foreign students in order to promote
its local and regional image through providing different services to the foreign students and facilitating the
administrative procedures of their registration and enrollment in the Institute. The Institute's strategic vision
of taking care of foreign students emphasized increasing the institutional capacity of competitiveness locally and
internationally as it is the best way to improve the quality of the educational process and to ensure the progress
of its Faculty members, students, and the administrative board. Accordingly, the Institute put a particular strategic

Establishing a follow-up unit for foreign graduates for promoting the Institute to attract foreign students.
Announcing the Institute's position and its various capabilities on the website in both Arabic and English.
Contacting all cultural representative offices of Arab and African countries in Egypt to increase the awareness
of the Institute's program, especially to attract new students.
Inviting officials who are concerned with student exchange programs and cultural representation in Arab and African
embassies and organizing propaganda lectures for them.
Announcing the entire Institute's specializations and how they are suitable for the labor market needs and
all information about the Institute on the website, in addition to preparing bulletins about this information
and sending them to the concerned authorities.
Organizing meetings to new foreign students to introduce them to the Institute and to encourage
cultural dialogue between different nationalities.
Holding a cultural forum among students periodically to identify the problems they face and try to solve them.
Publishing a periodic newsletter about the Institute's activities to be published on the Institute's website.
Preparing cultural, sports and social programs to take care of foreign students.
Paying attention to measure and evaluate student satisfaction.
Signing cooperation protocols with foreign local and international universities abroad.
Addressing the cultural attachés of the different countries in Egypt to identify the
foreign student problems that need to be solved and take them into account when developing
study programs at the Institute.
Facilitating the residence of foreign students.
Assigning the Faculty members and delegated professors to scientific missions to promote
the Institute's study programs in the different countries in which they are present.
The General Administration for Admission and Scholarships of Foreign Students is a general department for
the Office of Cultural Affairs and Missions Sector at the Ministry of Higher Education in Egypt. It was
established in 1965. It is concerned with providing services to foreign students.
