Student Admission

The Nile Higher Institute of Engineering and Technology follows the admission policies established by the Ministry of Higher Education for universities and higher institutes in Egypt. These policies apply to new students seeking admission. The Institute accepts applicants who hold the Egyptian General Secondary Certificate (Science/Mathematics section) or its equivalent, based on the guidelines provided by the Higher Councils of Higher Education. The specific admission regulations of the institute can be found on their website through the following link: (http://eng.nilehi.edu.eg/static/Architectural-Engineering-Admissions.html). Students who do not meet these requirements will not be granted admission. Upon admission to the Nile Higher Institute of Engineering and Technology, all students are required to participate in a mandatory orientation session for course registration. During their first year, all students are enrolled in common core courses. To be accepted into their preferred engineering department, students must complete the designated core courses with a core grade point average of 2.00. The student's progression to the next level is determined according to Table 1.

Before joining the architecture program, students must pass the first level (000), where they study basic sciences. They will then be directed according to their desires and the rules determined annually by the Institute's Council, taking into account the available capabilities in each scientific department and following the regulations approved by the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education.

Table 1 shows the number of students enrolled in the program overall throughout the past years, freshmen students being prepared, and graduates.
